Through an energy audit, Peter Basso Associates’ on-staff energy management consultants will present you with ideas on how to reduce energy consumption in your facility. Analyzing building energy consumption together with mechanical and electrical systems operation can often reveal many opportunities to reduce energy consumption.
Some of the low-hanging fruit our MEP engineers have found includes:
- Lighting retrofit
- Steam trap surveys
- Commissioning of ventilation equipment
The following require upfront costs, but these costs will often be outweighed by long-term energy savings:
- Upgrades to more efficient motors or equipment
- Adding energy recovery equipment
